A little About Me...

Hello, and welcome to Bluebell Tails Studio. I’m Jasmine ♡

Animals have always held a very special place in my life. They’ve never simply been pets — they’re family. The ones who sleep on the bed, follow you from room to room (yes, even to the bathroom!), make you laugh when you least expect it, cover everything you own in fur, and somehow become part of almost every memory you make. I’ve also always been creative, but for years I never quite found the thing I truly loved creating.

Then, in December 2024, I had to say goodbye to my beautiful Finnish Lapphund, Poppy. I had loved and lost precious animals before her, but losing my little Poppy dog brought a different kind of grief. It was soul-shattering. Suddenly there was an enormous Poppy-shaped space where this little shadow of mine had always been.

I started creating as a way of finding my way through that grief. It gave me somewhere to put all the love I still had for my precious little dog who was no longer by my side — a way to keep her memory alive, to celebrate the life we had shared, and to turn some of the sadness of losing her into something beautiful. There was and is, something incredibly comforting about creating with her in mind.

And somewhere along the way, something clicked. The animals I had loved all my life were the inspiration I had been searching for. They are at the heart of everything I now create.

Life has, of course, continued — and brought new little souls to love along the way. Poppy’s niece Rora and her cousin Reya are now my world — each with their own personalities and quirks, filling my days with happiness, laughter, sometimes a little chaos and bundles of love and inspiration.

The name Bluebell Tails was inspired by two other very special little souls — my Maine Coon cats, Blue and Belle. Although Blue has sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Belle remains a much-loved part of my life today, and together they gave Bluebell Tails Studio its name.

Together, their names came to represent something that now sits at the heart of Bluebell Tails: loss and life, side by side, and the belief that love doesn’t die just because a life’s light has been extinguished. Our hearts don’t move on from the animals we’ve loved — they simply grow around the memory of them. There is always room to love again, while carrying those who came before with us.

Love simply makes room for more. And that’s how Bluebell Tails evolved.

Some things I create are simply meant to make you smile because they remind you of your own four-legged shadow. Some celebrate the animals curled up beside us right now. Others are made for those much harder moments, when all we have left to hold onto are memories and the echoes of little paw prints that once welcomed us home.

One of the loveliest and most unexpected parts of creating Bluebell Tails has been hearing from people who tell me that something I made reminded them of a much-loved pet, made them smile, or brought them a little comfort after saying goodbye. Those messages mean more to me than they probably realise. Because if something that began as a way of finding my own way through loss can bring even a little happiness or comfort to somebody else, then Bluebell Tails has become far more meaningful than I ever imagined it could be.

So whether you’re here to celebrate the furry face currently stealing your heart (and your side of the bed), find something for another animal-obsessed human, or remember a very special friend who isn’t here anymore — I’m really glad you found us.

For the animals beside us, the ones we carry with us, and the love that connects them all. ♡
